Very generous PTO policy, earn time off right when hired
A good plan, but not extraordinary in any way.
You start with 18 days and that increases quite a bit when you complete a year with the company.

They give you up to 4 days as soon as you start and the PTO front loads at the first of the year. It is a use it or lose it plan, you are unable to carry any PTO time over from year to year. You receive 18 days each year for the first 5 years.
Vacation is what you negotiate
Republic Services offers a nice amount of time for vacation and paid time off. I like how this company will pay you above your hourly rate for vacation and paid time off. For example if an employee earns $15 an hour, and chooses to take vacation starting in the middle of the year, depending on the number of hours that this employee has worked, their hourly rate while on vacation will be above the regular $15 an hourly rate.
Paid time off for a new employee is very generous. You are offered 2 weeks paid vacation as well as 10 personal days.
Starting vacation is 2 weeks paid and 10 PTO days. I initially thought any additional time off would be considered I unexcused but that is not the case. Additional time off is just not paid.
