Rockefeller University provides a robust, comprehensive benefits plan for all of our full-time and part-time employees. We strive to support our employees in their work and their life, offering great benefits, perks, and valuable resources for each employee and their family.
The benefits package at Rockefeller is wonderful. Employees receive 15 or 18 days of vacation per year, depending on your position, as well as a generous holiday schedule. 403(b), long term disability, basic life insurance paid for by Rockefeller, and tuition reimbursement are just some of the great benefits available to us. A daycare, gym, tennis court, squash courts, and a bar all on campus enhances the experience of being an employee.
The retirement plan is a little bit confusing at first, but ultimately good news. And the health insurance is great (particularly considering all your doctors are located near the university). The only drawback is a lack of flex time (or lack thereof).
Rockefeller has a great benefits package compared to other similar research laboratory institutions. Great health/dental/vision, retirement after two years of employment, accrued vacation time (at 1.5 days/month worked), tuition reimbursement for staff who decide to take classes.
Very good health insurance allows for easy access to the best doctors in the city. RU also offers subsidized housing in Manhattan.
Great Benefits offered in comparison to area academic hospitals/institutions.
