I was able to take off a month prior to my due date with full pay, plus after you have taken your 6-8 weeks off depending on how you deliver, you can use carried over vacation time and also choose to take unpaid leave if you wanted to. Paternity leave is 3-4 weeks. The short term disability worked out very well too. For employees who had the option to work from home, many did that weekly for the first few months.
