“The best part is Aetna is the provider and they are accessible throughout US, and our in terms or doctors and hospitals in network.”
“Inconsistent across org. Some people have unlimited while others don't.”
Benefits include 401k, dental, vision, health, and life insurance.
Benefits are poor compared to what other companies offer. People frequently leave for jobs with better packages. Family leave policy is dismal. Unless you are lucky enough to be in a state that requires decent leave, policy is state minimum. In Texas, that's barely anything, and it only applies to the person having the baby.
Average benefits package. Nothing special.
Overall the benefits are great. However the time off and maternity/paternity leave are extremely poor and need to be improved.
The benefits are pretty standard. I do wish they had better PTO options.
Decent health coverage, wellness plan participation lowers otherwise high premiums. No PTO accrual for sales. You can take a certain # of days off, but nothing accrues.
SHI International response
Thank you for your feedback on our benefits. Our wellness program is not only a great way to lower your medical premiums but also a good way to be proactive in your own health. It is a voluntary program and is not required to have medical insurance through SHI. Additionally, SHI sales employees follow a Self-Managing Paid Time off policy which is an industry standard. This policy will not accrue any specific number of days off.
PTO for staff with long tenure is stingy.
SHI International response
Thank you for your comments about PTO. I'm disappointed you feel our time off is lacking. I will give senior management your feedback.
Lower than average paid holidays. 6 and 2 floaters is vert low, especially for the tech industry in the US.
Below standard number of paid holidays in the US. We get 6 and 2 floaters. You have to choose between day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
12 days PTO no sick.
