Whatever PTO you earn, it isn't yours to use at you please. If you regularly accrue 15 days/120 hours PTO in a year, you will have to use 8 days/64 hours as part of the mandatory holiday shutdown at the end of the year. If you don't use your hours you won't get paid your full salary. Other companies that have holiday shutdown you get paid for that time, but at Saama unless you use your regular PTO you will not get paid. This will leave you with only 7 days PTO to use for the rest of the year. They will let you use borrow leaves if you don't already have the PTO earned, but you will never meaningfully have enough to take the time when you want it. They are not transparent about this policy when you join. TLDR: Subtract 8 days /64 hours PTO from whatever they offer you, as these days are not yours to use as you please if you want to be paid your full salary.
the benefits package is pretty complete
Perks will completely depend on your performance and how the company did that year. Medical insurance was damn good. No much contribution in your 401K
The incentives and bonus should have been more
Vacation - 5K after first 5 years
5 year sabbatical with additional time off, annual anniversary awards, free food, good health insurance, 401k match, flexible work hours, 3 weeks of vacation a year plus 10 observed holidays, monthly happy hours
For a company with less than 1000 employees, the health insurance benefits are great.
401k match is great. Health plans are fairly standard, dental plan could use some improvement.
