The best part of the vacation package, is that I always had enough vacation to remain rested and refreshed during my employment. This was true for every year except the Presidential Election Year....I simply couldn't take off the time I had available.

They could definitely offer a little more time off, because the job is literally a regular "9-5" you do not get much time to step out of the office to take care of personal issues, unless you use your vacation time. Holidays you get compensated for (in most cases).

StarStarStarStarStar Current Strategic Digital Consultant in Nashville, Tennessee

They offer generous vacation and sick days. Plus a good number of holidays as well.

vacation time accrues at a rate of a little over 3 hours per two week period, and can accrue up to 18 months worth of a accrued pto (so 17 month of not using pto will cause it to stop accruing).

Should be longer. I think it is 2 weeks after a year but can't remember. Holidays are all recognized with early closings the day before.

Very competitive in their vacation time with regards to other companies.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Employee in Boston, Massachusetts

time off is very limited, and you cant really pick whenever you want. it has to be when they are okay with it.

StarStarStarStarStar Current sales in Omaha, Nebraska

Salem Communications vacation and paid time off is very good.

Too little vacation time for new hires. Sick time often goes unused (especially for salaried staff who often only need a partial day). Would MUCH prefer a combined PTO system to use as needed. Combine the two into a PTO "bucket".
