very costly medical insurance coverage
The coverage is minimal and the cost is 50% more than my friends pay for more coverage. PTO structure means no pay for any FMLA leave (ie maternity, short term disability etc.)
It was an average plan that cost more than working for a larger company. Typical of the marketplace today though
No 401k match, family benefits are outrageous. Paid time off is nice, but ditch the sick time and just give one bucket. Offer flex time/abbreviated hours to get progressive and make up for poor benefits.
Benefits are expensive and not great. Way to expensive for the coverage levels. Ironically, we don't have great dental benefits either.
Samson has all of the normal things you'd expect a FT employer to provide...they just aren't great benefits. Employee contribution for health insurance is too high. No employer match for 401K. No annual bonuses. They offer the minimum they need to in order to be respectable.
Samson provides all the basic benefits. Overall benefits are mediocre at best and they do not offer a matching 401k. Hopefully, as they grow they will be able to provide better benefits for their employees that work very hard for them.
Not very progressive. Fairly generic policies, minimal company contribution. No matching 401K.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
