They switched from vacation time to accrual PTO. That's tough for a new person
2 weeks for five year and a week more every five after that, and the ability to roll over five days a year after five years. Five years are counted as calendar years of work. For example, if you are hired in August of year 1, it counts as your first year. Then in January of year 6, you would get your extra week. Vaca does not accrue, but is all granted on January 1.
Vacation time took years to move up. No PTO
Six months wait to receive one week vacation time, after being promoted to full-time, having already worked one full year working 40hrs/week is a little ridiculous.
Vacation time and for me as a manager there is sick time as well that is paid in full.
Getting only minum money and not putting in effort.
It's a great benefit when your allowed to use it
The worst thing is that we are always short staffed, so everyone and their mother might be trying to get vacation time. Then there are conflicts between two or more employees about what days they want to be off.
I get paid time off all the time. It;s great!!!
There is no vacation or holiday pay. If an employee offers to work on Christmas, that person will get a little more per hour for working that day.
