2 weeks is standard for most US companies, although it would be nice to see the company be more consistent across international boarders on vacation policy.

You get over 2 weeks of PTO per year. 17 days to be exact. I've heard that's higher than most companies

StarStarStarStarStar Former Market Development Manager in New York, New York State

Offerings on vacation and PTO were, like many organizations commensurate with experience and tenure.

I would have given this 5 stars if they would not have stolen our earned vacation days 2 years ago and moved us to PTO days that we had to re-earn. Really can't believe they did that to everyone.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Senior Engineer in Hanover, Pennsylvania

I started with three weeks vacation, 2 personal days and unlimited sick time. Then HR changed it to 15 days PTO. So, I lost two days and all the sick time. Bait and Switch.

Older tenured employees have their old plans with as many as 40 vacation days but newer employees have more stringent PTO policy.

  • Feb 17, 2016
StarStarStarStarStar Former Employee in Baltimore, Maryland

Only 5 days for first 5 years if I recall correctly and like pulling teeth to get them. Negotiate more days before ever agreeing to employment offer.
