The best thing was their dental plan with delta dental.
benefits are good, but extremely expensive, no more PPO plan only high deductible, which really you will be in trouble or bankruptcy if something happens
They have good medical benefits and bonuses. There are two bonuses in a year for Engineers and each one is ok. It is based on performance on the job
Not a lot of options.
Health insurance was expensive. Especially for a company as big as Seagate. Basically you had to pay $1,500 (meet your deductible) just to get basic pharmacy coverage. So $300+ weekly premium for family and then have to pay 1,500 out of pocket for the insurance to kick in. So....not great. Also, they do "flex" time for salaried employees under the guise that it's better for the employee. Which is a lie. It's better for them when they lay you off because they don't have to payout accrued vacation. It's a liability move because that's exactly what you are when you work at Seagate...a liability.
Moved employees to high deductible plans but compensated with a health saving account. 401K is good and "unlimited vacation" plan is new
In the beginning benefits were good but over the years dwindled significantly.
There is a surcharge for adding your working spouse
Unlimited vacation is *very* nice, as it gives you lots of flexibility. Medical coverage is good. Stock purchase is also very good.
Unlimited vacation policy for exempt employees 401k matching program (up to 6%) $7500 /yr tuition reimbursement Company only offers High Deductible plan policies now
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
