Worse = Stock Option benefits, mostly vesting schedule additional stock grants, that only start vesting after 3 years or the grant. That's insane. Best = Everything else is amazing. For a company of it's size, SendGrid does a remarkable job when it comes to benefits.
Stock options, which are not generous, must be immediately purchased after leaving or lost, making it effectively not a benefit.
The company perks are amazing. Free lunch daily, fully stocked kitchen with snack and food so plentiful you could make a meal morning lunch and dinner. As with many start up companies, there is a fridge full of adult beverages and a kegerator. These are just a little insight into the office perks. There are the standards benefits as well. 401K, ThrivePass, vacation time but the cool thing about SendGrid is the company has unlimited sick days. If you are sick, stay home, stay in bed and don't come into the offices. The company also has a great travel policy that is very easy to book and expense. I consider this a perk because of the frequency I travel and the ease of the process SendGrid has put in place is great.
