Great benefits. 401K match, generous tuition reimbursement, competitive pay, flexible schedules, great insurance, life insurance included.
Benefits are very competitive. No complaints. Good choices and options for employees. Rates are fair. Only con would be cost, which is reasonable. Other than that, we are very pleased with our benefits options.
Sentara has overall great benefits and retirement options. One improvement Sentara can implement to their benefits is the healthcare plans could be better by allowing employees to have different options of coverage.
To expensive for a hospital
Benefits are expensive and have not changed since probably when Sentara first opened. There are other companies who offer better benefits. Also at Sentara all employees are essential, even the receptionist. Therefore you are required to come in during snowstorms, hurricanes and during COVID-19. Even if you are non essential and can telework.
Pension and 403b match. Pension no longer available to new hires; it has been replaced by a defined contribution plan.
This position allows flexibility, travel and opportunity to meet other leaders.
Sentara offers great bebenfit options
working as a resource pool employee you don't receive benefits. There's no tuition assistance benefits either. the only plus side is the work perks and discounts for working with sentara
