With the help of ShADEs, our employee resource group for Black colleagues and allies, we are committed to doing our part and taking meaningful steps towards progress and positive change both at Shutterstock and in the greater community. To ensure the safety of our employees, Shutterstock implemented a global work-from-home policy in March. Since our transition to work-from-home, we are using technology to keep employees and teams engaged. Our company all hands meetings and bi-weekly Sprint Demos are now fully remote via Zoom Webinar. We’ve also created new Slack channels to share work-from-home tips along with funny videos of their kids and pets. We’ve encouraged teams to hold more frequent stand-ups to keep our employees connected. True to our culture, we’ve managed to sprinkle in a bit of fun, too! Teams have enjoyed attending regular coffee breaks or Happy Hours. We’ve also held an #AskMeAnything on Slack with the Benefits team, video Q&As with senior leaders, and our first virtual global kids day! We’re committed to supporting our employees throughout this time and appreciate all that they have done to move our business forward. We have truly exemplified our Principles— especially One Team. We are better together and look forward to all we will accomplish during this extraordinary time and beyond.
