best thing: good 401k contribution if spouse has health insurance. also best thing: lots of vacation time
Health care is very expensive.
Medical / Health insurance costs are very high at Sierra-Cedar.
Healthcare costs for a family are ~$1,500/month. Plan is good through United Healthcare but expensive for what you get.
The medical package is very expensive. I don't think many emps select this. Most with whom I have discussed it are getting benes from their spouse. The 401k plan is convoluted as hell to explain or track. You get credits that go either toward healthcare or toward 401k and if they go to 401k it's tough to figure out exactly when contributions are made or what your return is. Your best bet is to sit on a fund for a year and digest the results from Fidelity to understand what just happened.
Benefits are just OK and expensive.
You can elect to receive up to a 9% employer contribution to your 401k.
Insurance Premiums are almost totally funded by the employee, very little match from the company. No other Benefits offered No Bonus available to anyone below a Director.
Bonus Features are nice, not alot of options for benefits
You get credits from Sierra-Cedar for both health benefits and also for 401(k). You can choose to put more of the Sierra-Cedar contribution toward health or 401(k). The health plans are expensive, so most opt to get health benefits from a spouse anyway. The 401(k) contribution from Sierra-Cedar is based on your income amount and is provided by Sierra-Cedar regardless of whether you contribute to your 401(k) or not. It is a good way to get your 401(k) growing fast.
