There isn't anything really negative to say about the benefits package at SVB. Maybe if they offered a HSA style account? However, their PPO and various other offerings for Health Insurance was some of the best I have had. Even with sky rocketing healthcare cost, they didn't pass those charges on to the employee. I was impressed that they had just added adoption services as a benefit before I left.
The overall benefits package is standard, however, the company excels in an unlimited vacation policy (subject to manager pre-approval), short vesting period for ESPP and ESOP.
For non-exempt employees there are 10 sick days and 22 vacation days accrued annually. These do rollover until a cap is reached. There is a substantial annual bonus. There is a good 401K match. You can work from home and from locations other than your base office.
