SirsiDynix offers 5 days of Maternity/Paternity leave.

High deductible plans only. HSA co-contributions are very minimal - At this time the max amount a month they contribute is $50 . So as long as you don't get sick for a year or two of working with them, you'll be okay, as soon as you have any kind of need for the actual insurance things get dicey. They also do not have a secondary drug coverage plan - your prescriptions are not covered until you meet your deductible. Another item that isn't a big deal as long as you don't get 'really' sick beyond common colds, flues and normal day to day ailments.

Average company match from the company

Option to WFH is a big plus. I start with talking to my team every morning followed by working on different projects through the day. You could use your PTO whichever way you want, not limited to sick days only. In addition to the accrued PTO, Sirsi also offers a few more floating holidays as your benefit. A great company to work for if you are not too ambitious about a high pay.

They offer generous amounts of PTO as well as 401k contributions.

MLK paid holiday. Christmas Eve paid holiday. Three floating holidays. This is not a high pay industry and company, but provides good work life balance.

Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

401k is good for employees

PTO is generous and I like that it was real PTO and not unlimited (the latter is not accrued and is usually not paid out upon termination)

The benefits are pretty good across the board. No one part is great but it is competitive with other companies in the area.

Health Insurance/Dental plans are good but can be expensive for a family and all have high deductibles. Employer offers 401K match, which is good, but they should consider a higher percentage match as an incentive to keep good employees and to compete with local employers.

SirsiDynix offers working from home full time (at least in the Engineering department) which has been awesome. The Health care is ok, it is a high deductible plan with the option of HSA and monthly company matching for part of the contribution. The Tuition reimbursement was helpful.
