There is training for those who aspire to progress and advance within the company.
You learn a lot about the company you are answering calls for, not a lot about actual issues you run into while in production
I had to learn 95% of what i know on my own. it was not a very thorough process and it did not cover 50% of what i learned
very poor training methods and very rude instructors
The training can be fun depending on the trainer. Most curriculum is provided by the clients so it can not easily be changed or updated.

Rushed but effective. The problem is one of the trainers. She was very abusive verbally.
4 weeks paid training is great, but not everyone leaves training with the knowledge they should. The training material is out of date too.
The training prepares the employee to use the systems that they will be using once they get on the call floor
