great benefits, discount on horse board and getting to try out products
benefits package has hopes of getting better with new parent company acquisition. The 401k match recently got better, low deductible plans are expensive, deductible on high deductible is very high, but company seems to do the best to negotiate new plans each year
6 holidays. Expensive medical benefits that change every year. Short term disability kicks in after 15 days out of work. When I started it was 10 days. No one keeps you up to date on these changes. HR not very efficient.
They claim to be at industry standard. That is not true. Do your research before you accept an offer. If it’s not in writing you will not get it. The weekly free snacks are gone in 2 days. Vacation and sick time are the same.
- Accrue PTO from the day you start (16 days/year) - 6 paid holidays - 401k match (limited) - Health & Dental insurance - Flex hours and WFH days (manager approval) - Casual environment - Snacks and coffee supplied - Generous employee discount and purchase program - Active Rider program - Subsidized gym membership - Bring your dog to work - Summer hours - Beer-friendly Fridays
Healthcare is solid, and they negotiate aggressively with the insurer every year. 401K match is sub-par
Great discounts, 401K, medical, dental
Health insurance costs are reasonable. ETO could be better considering you only get 6 holidays off. Some departments allow flex time. Working from home can also be an option.
Best are the horse benefits. Discount on supplements, tack and apparel. Ok 401 k match and life insruance offered for free and you can add on if you want. Salary is low. Vacation starts with 16 days and goes up to 25 days when employed 8 years or plus...no sick days!!
I think SmartPak offers a really strong benefits package. One of my favorite benefits is the dental insurance. These days it is hard enough to get good medical coverage from your employer - dental coverage is practically unheard of. I also particularly love the employee discount, the subsidized gym membership and the ability to bring our dogs to work.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
