“SmartThings has a pretty good parental leave policy. Not as great as some other companies in the Bay Area, but still pretty good. It includes: Parental leave (8 weeks) and childbirth recovery (up to 8 weeks). The company is very family friendly and has a culture of supporting employees with families.”
“Seems like it is a very nice health insurance package that is offered (from my limited experience) great copays and deductables depending on what plan you go with, and the price per check is not crazy.”
“Work from home is accepted as a norm.”
Best thing: paid 4 weeks leave for birth/adoption.
Unlimited time off, 401K with no match
Love the take it as you need it PTO.
Unlimited paid time off; health, dental, vision insurance; flexible schedules
Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?
Low medical coverage - High deductible
The unlimited PTO and flexible schedule were great. There was also generous employer contributions to healthcare premiums and 401(k) employer matching. The snacks in the kitchen were a nice extra.
The benefits are generous considering company size, good options, and a competitive PTO offering.
Pretty good benefits.
overall good benefits compared to other silicon valley companies
Many perks, including fitness center (CA) and subsidized lunches.
