Sound Transit believes that healthy employees equal a healthy, more productive company. That’s why we offer two choices of medical plans - Premera Blue Cross PPO or Kaiser Permanente HMO.
We also offer dental coverage with Delta Dental of Washington at no cost, a vision plan through VSP Vision Care at no cost and long-term disability and life insurance.
Sound Transit has a very robust wellness program. We are pleased and excited to be recognized for our commitment to employees’ well-being. That commitment includes:
• An ORCA card at no cost
• Tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually
• Employee Assistance Program
• On-site gym
• Free annual flu shots
When it comes to your financial health, Sound Transit has you covered too. We have both 401a and 457b retirement programs and offer monthly on-site retirement education opportunities.
Excellent medical and retirement plans.
Great benefits coverage, medical, vision, dental.
The benefits are great. Health care is paid by ST for the employee and has a lower cost for others to be added on. ST also covers your deductible. You are required to put in 10% to your 401a (gov version of 401k) but ST matches with 12% of your salary. There is tuition reimbursement, and internal training opportunities. There are gym discounts. Full time employees start off with 3 weeks vacation (accrued) and sick leave. There is 12 paid parental leave(maternal and paternal).
Good work like harmony. Some managers are more understanding of needing to address childcare issues than others. Discuss this in your hiring process.
Great benefits: 15 days starting annual leave 12 paid sick days 10 paid holidays
Great benefits, 401k matching is great though they opt out of Social Security.
Excellent benefits - 401 contribution instead of social security - 12% of salary from employer and 10% from employee
The healthcare plans are tip top. Plus a 12% 401(a) employer match.
Employees have to pay a very small amount for insurance with families.
Wonderful health insurance, free cooking classes, nice gym with low cost membership. No pension like many government organizations but you pay into a retirement account with some match. Vacation time is ok but there is separate sick leave time too.
