Health Insurance is very inexpensive and only a $500 deductible for services at SGMC. PTO has holidays, vacation and sick days combined and you basically accrue 3 weeks of PTO in your first year.
Basic benefits package provided per position
New employees do not become eligible for benefits, including annual leave, until completion of 90 day probationary period.
Nothing all is terrible
Benefits at South Georgia Medical Center are owned by the hospital and the hospital itself decides what you can and cannot have done and very many people have problems with medication deductibles And finding facilities that except the insurance.
You have to accrue PTO but it comes in handy. Holidays and weekends off in outpatient areas. Health Insurance, ability to pay with employee badge on items in cafeteria, cafe and gift shop.
The health insurance has covered quite a bit for me personally. Benefits don't start until after your 90 days. There are also many employee discounts for several things from car rentals to hotel discounts.
Health insurance is good and inexpensive. It is available to full time employees only. You start out accruing 23 days per year and that increase a day each year after you have been there 5 years.
PTO has decreased over the past few years. No sick time or paid holidays.
Very competitive health benefits.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
