Southwest Airlines offers an Employee Assistance Program to its employees.
Employer Verified Available to US-based employees (Change location)
i have been working in my companies, this is the best plan I ever seen. It can not be matched by other companies.
A catastrophic assistance plan is in place for employees affected by natural disaster.
Did not use this benefit but heard good things from others.
Better than other companies. Peers helping peers, usually. Confidentiality get a breached more than it should.
Southwest Airlines response
We take Employee Assistance very seriously, which is why we have a program (called Clear Skies) that is available to Employees 24/7 and is entirely confidential. Clear Skies offers immediate telephonic counseling and up to five face-to-face counseling sessions, access to convenience services, and specified legal assistance services, all free to Employees. Clear Skies is administered by an independent third party, and services are provided by licensed third party professionals. Although Southwest has a strong culture of People helping People, Clear Skies employee assistance services are not provided peer to peer.
Southwest Airlines has a very strong employee assistance program. They're very proud of it.
