The health coverage, swag and flight benefits are the best. Low co-pay and premiums.
Profit Sharing was 13.2% for 2016, 100% 401k Match up to 9.3% of your income.
Flying for free was cool.. But I never had the time to to do it. Never used the insurance. Signed up for matching benefits. They took a lot out of my paycheck. I made practically nothing and it's a very stressful physically demanding job. Southwest mentality of bags fly free was ultimately going to break my back.
Great medical, dental and vision benefits and corporate culture. Cafeteria style plan beyond basic company provided plans. Employee and family coverage
Great benefits, flight benefits on Southwest themselves plus discounted flights on other airlines. 401k matching, the percentage depends on department but generally pretty high and profit sharing after 1 full calendar year with company. The work can be easy one day, tough the very next but benefits are worth it.
I have to say, this is the best thing about Southwest. They offer incredible benefits, and a great 401K.
401k matching is great, ProfitSharing
Best things: Generous travel privileges, profit sharing, PTO and nice healthcare plan. Worst thing: Salary
N/CA I am a contractor not eligible.
Free space-available flights is really the only benefit for interns
