Southwest Airlines offers paid time off to eligible employees.
All vacation, sick time have been rolled into one category of paid time off.
we moved from sick/vacation time to Paid Time Off. Once you reach 18 years with the company, the PTO accumulates monthly at a rate equivalent to 6 weeks vacation
PTO starts at 15 days per year. No sick leave.
Paid time off is great, however could use more paid time off when u first start off.
Its flexible but may vary from manager to manager

We get one "floating holiday" we bid for each month and also get about 10 vacation days depending on your start date. This goes up as your seniority rises.

They were not competitive with a 2-week grant for new employees with a week of sick time. They just moved to a much more generous PTO policy that's accrued, and the first year accumulates 3 weeks.
