It only covers preventative care. Does not cover illness or injury. They wouldn't offer it if Affordable Care Act didn't require them to do so. I'm assuming nobody uses it.
The low premium option comes with a strong reimbursement option, so Special Counsel pays a certain amount towards your deductible per year for in-network providers. The high premium option significantly lowers the deductible and the copay for doctor visits is $25 for an in-network provider. All around, really happy with their options.
