Amazing health insurance, amazing. Although I would recommend Kaiser over Providence if that is a possibility. AMAZING dental insurance. Retirement benefits are not apparently what they used to be, but they are better than the private sector. Telecommuting is an option. Paid state holidays, governor's (extra day off) from Thanksgiving to New Years, and 3 days of personal business leave a year in addition to the day-a-month vacation accrual. One day a month sick leave accrual.
Great vacation, health benefits, retirement, FSA, HSA
The Best Benefits: generous time off (vacation, holiday, personal business and\or leave). The Worst Benefits: limited medical and dental plans.
I have great benefits. Most things appear to be paid for and I never have trouble finding a doctor who accepts my benefits.
Health Benefit is good provided you use local health care providers. Travel out of state coverage is limited.
Every year there is a cut to benefits.
I came in a long time ago (1998) and left a year ago, so what I say may no longer apply. I was in a benefits category called Tier 2. So in my case, having a state retirement plan is wonderful. Sadly, it was the best part of the job. Your mileage may vary if you come in as a new employee.
I am able to have a great work/life balance with excellent health benefits at an affordable price for my whole family!
They gave you many options to choose from in the benefits package, and through the union were able to keep the costs of these benefits extremely low.
By working for the state, benefits package covers a lot. Good options for Medical and Dental insurance. Earn 1 day a month of vacation and 1 day a month for sick. About 10 holidays recognized
