Good benefit offerings for various levels of costs
The best thing about the benefits package at the State of Tennessee is the option to choose between two health insurance companies (Cigna and Blue Cross Blue Sheild). I feel the fees you pay each month is a good rate. Also, the amount of annual time and sick time you can accumulate can add up quickly if you are not misusing it.
Great health, vision, dental, short and long term, paid holidays, annual and sick leave, wellness programs, and life insurance. Low premiums and great providers.
Health Insurance benefits are hands down the best I've had from any employer in regard to cost and provider benefits.
Cheap insurance and good amount of paid time off
Expensive and high deductibles for a state entity!
The best thing was the selection of practitioners and the selection of healthcare insurance options that wee available. The worst thing was that my premium for the insurance was taken out of one paycheck monthly rather than divided up amongst all paychecks.
You have options and packages. Low cost and plenty of time off.
The Benefits package make State Government a great place to work.
The blue cross / blue shield health coverage was a great benefit.
