    The State will only match what the legislature agrees to each year and never more than $26 p/pay period. They allow employee donations up to the legal amount. They also contribute one quarter of one percent of your paycheck each pay period.

    The best thing about the 401k plan is that I do not have to contribute to receive benefits. The worst thing about the plan is that I do not have a choice to receive that money in the form of pay.
