Overall good package, health insurance based off years of service discount and level of pay. Fair PTO

Coverage not as good as previous Employers. I expected better with working for a Health care System

Sure, you get benefits but they hardly cover anything...It simply isn't worth it...which is upsetting considering you're working at a hospital.

The insurance is horrible. SwedishAmerican denies every claim they possibly can, even going against the advice of their own doctors.

For a health system, the health insurance isn't that great. The Vision doesn't cost a lot to add but when you go to the provider, it doesn't cover much and is a lot out of pocket, same for the dental plan. The prescription plan is only worth it if you use the Swedes' pharmacy otherwise the medications are very expensive at local pharmacies.

I feel that the benefits are great here at SwedishAmerican. There are always opportunities within the health system to improve on your our kills. And the salary is good.

Several packages of health insurance to choose from, dental isn't that great, only one company, little perks like discount on car services.
