I feel that the benefits are great here at SwedishAmerican. There are always opportunities within the health system to improve on your our kills. And the salary is good.
For a health system, the health insurance isn't that great. The Vision doesn't cost a lot to add but when you go to the provider, it doesn't cover much and is a lot out of pocket, same for the dental plan. The prescription plan is only worth it if you use the Swedes' pharmacy otherwise the medications are very expensive at local pharmacies.
Several packages of health insurance to choose from, dental isn't that great, only one company, little perks like discount on car services.
Great vacation time earned for full time employees. Pleasant surroundings and overall great patient care. I am only looking elsewhere because of money. Not enough to support a family.
You could receive a full package: health insurance, life insurance, a small matching contribution to your 401k, etc. There was a small concierge service as well that would help with employee chores: take your car to get an oil change, take your clothes to the cleaners, etc. The environment was positive and friendly, so I viewed that as a huge benefit. The vacation/sick days off were calculated using the PTO (Paid Time Off) system, which is better than any other system I've come across. Every hour you work contributes a small percentage towards your PTO time bank.
401K matching was exceptional at this institution. CME benefits were great as well.
401K matching starts at 1% to 3% but w/ annual contribution from Employer to about 5%.
