It is Symantec’s philosophy to offer benefits that are employee driven, fiscally driven, and organization driven. We annually review program offerings and benchmark to the median of the local high tech market to ensure that our benefits are in line with other leading high tech companies in your area.
The cost to employees is a bit high, but the coverage is amazing
It was very flexible. you get everything that you need including nice health coverages and insurances. great 401k plan and much more to look for
Easy and basic troubleshooting questions . Knowledge check as well. Linux, Windows and database. Three rounds > 1) telephonic 2) Group interview 3) HR Overall it was a good experience and easy.
Excellent health plan, and tons of other perks. Really great options medical dental and vision. Gym membership reimbursement is a real plus
Symantec's benefits are decent for a large company. Most medical expenses were covered with little hassle from the insurance companies.
I don't like the Time off model that was adopted. It is MTO and you can just request time and if your team and manager are ok with it you can have time off. With all the layoff that are happening every other month people are afraid to take time off and be seen as not doing their job. It was much better when we had a set amount of time and we could request it and track it. I don't dare take more than a few days off at a time I would be afraid to be let go.
They have great beneifts. The company is based in Silicon Valley so most other offices enjoy a sweetened benefit package as well.
Great compensation for being in LA and working in Tech. Unlimited vacation.
The best thing was the retirement contribution matching.
package is below average. employee pays a larger portion of the medical. every year, as part of cost-savings at Symantec... they increased the employee contribution portion.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
