It is Symantec’s philosophy to offer benefits that are employee driven, fiscally driven, and organization driven. We annually review program offerings and benchmark to the median of the local high tech market to ensure that our benefits are in line with other leading high tech companies in your area.
Good health and dental choices
Pretty standard benefits package. Work from home was at managers discretion and was often arbitrary, since folks on the same team and same role aren't all allowed this option.
The company has a decent benefits package although the employee share has been growing quite a bit
Changed health care insurance provider in 2018 to Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Plan has a deductible, but a new change is that prescriptions are now included in that deductible. Rather than paying, say, $15 for a prescription, you now pay 10% of the med's cost, which goes towards your deductible. This can be a huge sticker shock for some people with expensive meds.
Not applicable. I did not find anything wrong with the benefits package at Symantec.
Good benefits expected from a corporate but nothing extravagant like Free food/Concierges/Company car
Great benefit package, especially health benefits.
Good insurance benefits, 401k matching, and flexible hours. Paid time off has transitioned into non-tracked "my time off".
401K, Fitness Reimbursement, Stock Options
401K matches 50%, up to 7%. There is a gym. Cafeteria isn't free. Company offers unlimited vacation time (at manager's discretion).
