It is Symantec’s philosophy to offer benefits that are employee driven, fiscally driven, and organization driven. We annually review program offerings and benchmark to the median of the local high tech market to ensure that our benefits are in line with other leading high tech companies in your area.
Fairly standard benefits, not great compared to some of the other tech giants. Budget cuts changed the culture such as no holiday parties and for a while we no longer received plastic ware or milk for coffee in break rooms (this was corrected after much backlash).
Miss the benefits and paycheck
The company has excellent benefits from health, dental, vision, 401k, employee assistance program and many other benefits for you to choose from.
Health Insurance was quite good
Great, full scope benefits. Employee costs are competitive and there are alot of plans to choose from based on your individual needs.
Best: Great work life balance and onsite gym
The company offers semi-decent benefits, but, because of the management culture, I can't recommend it as a good place to work.
Best: on site gym, reimbursement for being active outside of work (gym, marathons/runs, etc) Worse: wish 401k match was better
The FSA was good. The large deductible after the FSA was used was bad.
Free access to security software.
