The company switched to MTO (My Time Off) in 2016. Portrayed as unlimited Time off to take when and how long you need it. In practice you cannot as decision becomes discretionary to each group. Three weeks on Christmas can be challenging depending on group even when under the "older" model you saved your days for Christmas and despite the shutdown.

Average for industry standard but nothing special.

Standard Vacation and PTO. Senior staff are on a no-PTO / flexible accrual plan.

PTO is being phased out for unlimited time off (UTO). Although the concept of UTO is nice, you don't get paid out if you leave the company.

You get PTO which you can use towards sick time or vacation. There is no distention between vacation and sick.

No working from home and typical vacation packages. Not the same across organization--departments are all different.

PTO is fair compared to the rest of the market in the US.

I really appreciated that interns got paid time off for the summer. The system is pretty hassle-free as well. I was able to "borrow" time off, and even though I borrowed too much time, the only penalty was withholding the appropriate amount from my final paycheck.

Enforced company end-of-year shutdown that comes out of PTO balance every year. It should be illegal to grant PTO, then turn around and mandate when employees must take it.
