“The amount matched vests immediately.”
“Insurance cost a bit more, but had low deductible. ”
“21 days combined PTO/sick leave was a good.”
Great insurance, 401k, and 21 days of PTO.
401k match is very good. Time off is good, insurance ok and other benefits like stock purchase plan are good.
Average benefits overall, not much else.
Great package, health, 401, vacation, sick
Company offers great benefits package
Medical is expensive for families
There is no paternity leave other than using whatever time you get at the beginning of the year.
Health insurance is ok. It does the job.
Good benefits but lower than average salary
Synovus offer a very good benefits package for a bank its size, though it just got about a third larger via acquisition. Health and dental are through Blue Cross Blue Shield GA. Employees have options deductible level options, which affects the monthly premiums. The premiums are very reasonable, as are deductible levels. The only gripe I have with the health plans are the high Max Out-of-Pocket levels, which can bite if you have any unexpected medical procedures. The company match on 401k is up to 5% of salary, up from 4% just a couple of years ago. Synovus uses Fidelity to manage its 401k, which is excellent. Pretty good investment options and great online platform for users. Incentive plans can be lucrative, though they depend on job so I won't comment further. Vacation is so-so. Not the worst, but certainly not a leader. I came from a previous employer where I had 4 weeks of vacation, but Synovus would only offer a maximum of 3 weeks. Synovus offers a generous tuition reimbursement plan, which was recently reinstated after having been suspended during the downturn. Employee stock purchase plan with 15% discount. Coming from a bigger bank with great benefits, Synovus stands on its own, and has even gotten better over time. I would think Synovus is head and shoulders above its peer group in terms of benefits.
