I'm giving this three stars simply because what ought to have been a very simple policy was wildly inconsistent depending on who you asked about it. I had three different managers in the 16 months I worked for the company (i no rite??). Each of them took a different approach to PTO. Let me start by saying that I have a condition and am chronically ill, from time to time it keeps me home from work. The first manager *required* me to use 8 hours of PTO every day that I called in sick. The first Market Manager I had, who approved these forms, signed off on these occasions. Check. Second Store Manager, second Market Manager. Got it? New store manager *allowed* me to use PTO for instances when I was sick ( I was in the habit of it at this point) and new Market Manger also approved the forms. Check. Final Store Manager, same Market Manger. This newest Store Manager is a bit of a stomp around and he DON'TEK NO. I submit for PTO to the Market Manager, admittedly, bypassing the store manager, because at this point it has become routine. He somehow catches wind of it and calls to inform that that will not be how things run 'round here no more. Three PTO policies. Three stars.
They front load your vacation early on in your employment instead of having to wait 6 months to a year to enjoy it.
Used to be pretty good. Now you are punished for wanting to spend a few weeks a year with your real family.
