Great benefits, great flexibility, GREAT place to build a future!
It’s a smaller company that the benefits available aren’t great. High deductible plan means I will never meet deductible and will have to pay for everything out of pocket towards that deductible while paying an arm and leg per paycheck.
New benefits include employer paid short term disability, 3 days of volunteer time off, and birthday PTO in addition to annual PTO allotment. Areas for improvement include rising cost of HDHP insurance plan available and traditional, 12 week paid new parent leave.
High-deductible insurance plans - pay a ridiculous amount each month, I will never meet the deductible, and because I will never reach my deductible...means I will have to pay out of pocket for everything (co-pay or contracts amount) all the time.
