Medical insurance has been either increased in cost by almost 10% premiums or reduced benefits each year for the past few years. Spouses are no longer allowed to be on family policies if they have insurance offered at their employer. This is very expensive to purchase a family policy plus an individual policy AND meet multiple deductibles throughout the year :(. Tuition assistance is only $3000 per year which doesn't even cover one class in most private programs. Further education is NOT encouraged though.
