Teaching Strategies offers our regular, benefit-eligible employees a comprehensive benefit program. Eligible employees’ benefits are effective the first of the month following their date of hire.
Great time off, 401k matching, good insurance, generous parental leave
Brand new health benefits are really affordable with company matching. Option for some roles to work remotely or work from home. New open vacation / sick leave program. Budget for professional development depending on your role.
The benefits package was pretty good. Many supervisors were great about encouraging you to use your time off out of the office.
Really great benefits. 7 days of sick time and 2-4 weeks of vacation time depending on years of service. Standard holidays off as well as day after Thanksgiving and additional holiday break between Christmas and New Years. They just updated the maternity and paternity leave policy: 4-6 weeks of paid maternity leave and a "return to work" schedule that allows for working from home, 4 weeks of paid paternity leave. Health/Dental/Vision insurance is pretty standard as is the 401k matching policy.
unorganized & judgmental. Perks: benefits.
Teaching Strategies is very generous to their employees in terms of benefits. No complaints.
The benefits package was AWESOME!!! Please keep in mind, this is coming from a single person, not married & no kids. Therefore totally oblivious to family package rates for health benefits. All premiums, and service charges were taken pre-tax. Paid Holidays, substantial vacation accrual, Paid Leave Between Christmas and New Year (office is closed December 23rd - January 2), Maternity/Paternity Paid Leave, Adoption Paid Leave, Bereavement Leave & NO DEFINED NUMBER OF SICK DAYS!! It makes an employee not feel guilty for getting sick, but gives value to that perk as to not take advantage of it!! I never did, they actually sent me home on two occasions (I was feeling fine, but looked sick). Medical, Dental, Disability (Short-Term & Long-Term), Life and Accidental Death Insurance. Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA Medical Reimbursement and Dependent Care), Retirement Plan (401K, Employer Match, Discretionary Profit Sharing, Fully vested after 3 years), & Employee Assistance Program. Transportation Benefit (This benefit extends to those who walk or bicycle to work to encourage employees to use environmentally-friendly methods of transportation when possible.) Tuition Assistance Program, Support and Promote Professional Development Opportunities, Subsidized Health Club Membership. Garaged parking at a discounted rate. & ANNUAL BONUS 3-10% of annual salary!!!!!!!!!! Great Great Great Benefits, please note that is the ONLY beneficial aspect working for this company!!
minimal matching that is standard in for-profit (definitely not generous); vacation is NOT paid out when you leave- they call it a gift (which is not communicated in hiring process); also pretty standard (15 days); org shuts down at winter holidays so they count this as vacation as well
Overall, the benefits offered (like health insurance, dental insurance, and 401K plans) are good perks.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
