    I had to bring in a copy of the newspaper with my grandfather's obituary to prove there was actually a funeral, in order to get bereavement leave approved! How demeaning!

    FMLA is available. The agent has to reach out to HR and fill out a form. It there is a hospitalization or a car accident and the agent is unable to get the FMLA form they will do wrongful termination on more then one occasion. So the policy is a little backwards. but if there is a death in the family or a planned unexpected issue it works.

    It is not the longest amount of time, but you do get some time for bereavement. It is a 3 day period that they give you for immediate family.
