The health insurance was decent to me. It was better than the insurance that I have on my job now.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, decent health care package. Also offer other health care packages based on your needs

You have health insurance and it is free, however they go for the cheapest plan.

Best benefits package of any public or private company.

The current insurance is horrible. Not many doctors take it, it's an HMO. I'm having to change all my doctors. Frustrating.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Senior Correctional Officer in Beaumont, Texas

The best things about it are that the cost to go to the doctor is affordable and the insurance is through a really good company

The health insurance is great! I pay very little for expensive medication and Dr. visits. The dental benefits have a limit and you have to wait for the year to be over to use it again.

Health benefits are good. The state would like for us to believe they pay for our health benefit but it's really deducted from our salaries.
