    This is where the politics figures in...in part. You have to put in for leave time 3 months in advance, and pray that none of your supervisors "good ol boys" have put in for the same time, because if they have, you WILL BE DENIED, with very little if any explanation as to why. You accumulate a decent amount of Vacation time each month, but have a hard time ACTUALLY USING IT.
