I like the benefits and working with the people.
Great benefits, pay and 401k!
I appreciate the fact that The State of Texas sets you up with a retirement fund coming from your salary.
Free insurance, optional dental/vision. 13 days of sick leave, minimum of 13 personal leave.
Great health insurance! Retirement plan is frustrating if you are young, have student loans with higher interest rates to pay off, and you don’t spend your whole career in the government. 9.5% of your annual salary is automatically withdrawn into the retirement plan. Paid time off is reasonable.
Benefits at the state are great.
The state pays 100% for a full time employee's health insurance.
Best thing is pension, employer paid healthcare, and 20+ holidays a year. Worst is since it's government there are no year end bonuses.
GREAT RETIREMENT PLAN AND HEALTH INSURANCE. Paid vacation and health incentives. Hours are great. people work great together.
Time off includes state holidays
