The worst is that they don't offer 401k, there are no gyms for employee to work out, also most dept lack computers to work with. But they do offer pension plan, paid vacations, personal day off, sick days and subsidized parking for employees.

Health insurance kicks in only after the 180 day probation period. This is stressful and irresponsible in my view as I did indeed get sick and could not access health care without paying out of pocket.
