    The best benefit is half-days on Friday in the summer and the 6% match to 401K plan. The worst thing about the benefits is that only certain grade levels are eligible for stock options and employee stock purchase. Benefits and salary are subjective and there is a lack of transparency on who receives what and why.

    Pros - 401K company match (4% bi-weekly pay check match, and 6% annual match), half day Fridays in the Summer, work life balance Cons - Salary are not competitive enough for Bay Area wages and cost of living, only 2 weeks of vacation, "personal time" is pointless

    Half day summer Fridays, good LTI at higher grade levels, matching on retirement is strong. Healthcare coverage is expensive and increasing but good quality.

    401K match is good, not great. Health insurance is fine, no complaints. Annual bonus normally comes in around the target they give you. At least partial work from home is possible in most positions. Vacation just starting out is stingy (2 weeks), but partially compensated for by 1/2 day Fridays in Summer and 5 personal days. Generous meal & hotel policy while travelling for business. Love the on-campus cafeteria, really good and healthy selection of food.

    The best thing about the benefit package is the work/life balance. The worst thing about the benefits is that we are having to pay so much out of pocket that my annual salary is about $5,000 less per year accounting for the out of pocket max that I have hit for the last three years since they switched health care plans to account for the Cadillac excise plan tax that never came to fruition. Just a couple of examples, my daughter and I just had the flu. For tamiflu medication and 1 inhaler and 3 visits, total cost was $860. I wish that Clorox would take the tax break they just received and put it back into the employees in the form of revamping the health care.
