They have a great vacation benefit. Nothing bad to say about it.

PTO is great if your department lets you use it. We get denied. Unless we're friends with the shift manager.

They offer a decent amount of vacation days off the bat, but you get no sick days. It's all "included" into your vacation day allocation. The leniency for getting sick or caring for sick family is horrible. Do not get sick, do not let your loved ones get sick.

The PTO structure (vs. holidays/vacation and sick/personal leave) can be a bit polarizing, but this is a 24/7/365 industry, so it makes sense. Personally, being young and healthy, I loved it and preferred the quick accumulation and freedom to travel on off-peak times of year. I can definitely see how it would be frustrating for others though.
