I've been working here almost a year and I only have accrued 16 hours of vacation as of yet. I'm not sure whether or not it's going to go up to a full week after the first full year as a full time employee of not.

You are awarded time based on the amount of time you have been with the company. Five days upon your first full year and then it increases to 10 years in a few years. This is the only time granted and it must be used for vacation and sick time.

They could do better on this. They recently rolled out a plan for you to "buy" more PAL time which costs you money. And you can only do it once a year during open enrollment. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.

It would be nice if 2 weeks vacation after first year would be offered maybe turnover wouldn't be so bad.
