At The Hartford, your salary is just one component of your total rewards package. Your total compensation also includes short-term and long-term incentives, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
This highly competitive package not only rewards performance, it helps ensure your health and wealth.
Generous PTO and Stock Options. They also have a fairly generous tuition reimbursement program as well.
19 PTO days a year
Depending on the departments, WFH is available. Basic 6% 401k match. For an insurance company, health insurance premiums are but high. Amazing place to grow, due to the size of the company you can expend and learn alots. 14 days PTO starting.
Great 401K match up to 6 % and extra 2%
Vacation time is terrific. Their health benefits are inadequate and expensive.
Paid Time Off is 19 Days per year currently with the option to "purchase" additional days off. I very much value my PTO so this is a great benefit!
Health ins premium partly covered by Hartford, but unless employees live in Connecticut, there is no "nurse on site" to see free of charge -yet those working in other offices, like Overland Park, KS, do not get a break on paying their portion of their health care premium. Every time I go to the Dr, I pay $115!!! Employees in Conneticut get to see a nurse for FREE. Also, employees in Connecticut are paid a higher wage. Hartford's medical benefits are a sad joke.
Best thing is that you are eligible for benefits on your first day of work. You can get 401K after 90 days, I believe. There was an on-site nurse as well that you could go to and get medical help, get shots done, or really any normal check-up.
Medical plans are too expensive but that might be the norm now.
