The company offers a standard benefits package and most of the packages allow for 80% reimbursement with 20% coinsurance. Can be expensive for the family package.
They offer great benefits in terms of paid time off but it is rare to find time to get to use it unless you call in. The health benefits are super expensive.
Worst thing is ever increasing healthcare premiums, deductibles and out of pocket costs but no equivalent cost of living or other salary increases. Therefore make less every year.
discount stock purchase plan was nice. also you got a pension plus 401 match.
The campus in Windsor, CT is like a professional oasis where you have a gym, physician on site, excellent system for PTO and a terrific gym. This could be a pro or a con depending on how much one enjoys meshing together work and personal lives.
Best thing was the PTO - you were able to carry over a week, buy a week (and sell back at the end of the year), and with all the flexible working arrangements, you could really make the most of your time. Worst thing was healthcare options. They did a fantastic job with communications and training when they changed the program and offered only high deductible options, but it doesn't work for some people and was extremely expensive for those with pre-existing conditions. They offer competitive bonus program, a Rewards and Recognition social community that also awards cash/like cash bonuses, and long term comp. Tenure and level factor into onsite garage parking, but all parking was free (in Downtown Hartford!) Everyone has laptops, are mobile and able to work from home for continuity and flexibility On-site gym is free to employees On-site cafeterias and coffee shops (pay as you go)
Great benefits. Can be pricey but if you make enough then it is the perfect fit. Stock options too
best thing was multiple options for healthcare, worst thing was the cost
Good 401k matching program up to 6 percent matching plus they contribute an automatic 2% whether you contribute or not.
The Hartford has a great 401K package and PTO time. You can acquire more PTO every 4 years and also purchase additional days if needed.
