Flexability and competitive rates compared to others
The best thing about the benefits package at The Land of Nod is the available benefits for Full-Time employees. They have great medical insurance, dental and vision insurance. Not many retailers provide the extensive benefits that The Land of Nod has.
12 weeks paid maternity leave
If you're full-time you get better benefits. If you're part-time you just get a 401k. They determine part-time as less than 30hrs per week averaged over two weeks, so sometimes they schedule over 30hrs one week and less the next, which still disqualifies you for benefits. Sneaky.
401k match, maternity leave, work from home
The paid time off, sick time and maternity leave package is very limiting. A starting employee receives 12 days paid time off, and 5 sick days. You must work for the company for three years before you add another two days to your paid time off bank. A person needs to have worked for the company for three + years to receive 50% paid time off for 12 weeks maternity leave, essentially asking employees to rush back to work, or stock pile funds to cover their absence.
