in general benefits are good but not excellent. if you have kids you have to pay a 17k for each to have them in day case by Ohio State University day care facilities
There is and alternate retirement plan that can be chosen instead of the state pension plan.
We only have OPERS, which only works for the state of ohio, and they dont release the funds to you until at least 1 year after graduation.
they have a decent pension. other benefits . kind of amazing
Great state retirement plan that matches other public systems
OPERS is great and Ohio State matches contribution at a high percentage
Retirement plan is competitive among similar jobs
I waived the option to save my paycheck into a retirement plan for my student employee job. I do not think saving that small of a paycheck is worth it; save into personal savings or put it into the market on your own instead.
It can be a pain to access details about your retirement account but OSU's contributions are good and overall the plans are great.
I think it is good. seems they put money in my retirement account. i am not sure how much it is.
