As a part time employee, it was a simple process to ask for time off if needed. There were also incentive opportunities. If you sold enough leases you were offered $50
there are no benefits for part-time positions
The company is amazing when it comes to taking care of it's staff. Added benefits such as additional FTO, easier access to full time benefit enrollment, staff sick days and parental leave (even for situations of adoption or foster care) really make a huge difference in over all work ethic and company moral. Their giving encourages productivity and makes working for this company extremely desirable.
If you are part time you do not get many benefits. You can get time off but it's not paid and the management does not enjoy giving you time off even though it's not paid. You receive a $25 or $35 commission per each lease signed per month. If you don't make the monthly quote it's $25 and if you do it's $35. This is unfair since leasing agents do all of the work that goes into getting the lease signed, but the commission is really low. Leases signed are usually anywhere from $10,000-$13,000 leases for the company but the agent only see a very small percentage of that.
The only good thing is the $25 commission when you sign a person to a lease. That is only good when upper management doesn't try to take away the person you signed.
They have incredible dental and vision. Medical is okay too except I don't get paid enough to afford it. If you apply for the 401K they match what you put in, so you get double every paycheck, which is nice. My favorite part though is their vacation package. They work really well with their employees and try to give them all of their vacation time that they request. They also have several paid holidays and even give you a holiday to use for your birthday, which is pretty cool.
Vacation days/FTO are generous. 13 days the first year plus 8 paid holidays and 18 days plus 8 paid holidays in years two through six, and it goes up from there. The health insurance covers vision, dental, maternity, disability, prescriptions, etc. 401k company match.
paid time off accrues quickly
