Employer Summary

At Hearst Bay Area, we believe our success is the result of the talent, passion and vision of our people. That is why we offer a comprehensive benefits program that focuses on supporting your physical, emotional and financial wellbeing. Wellbeing is about what matters most to us and enriches the quality of our lives. While it may be different for each individual, it requires harmony of our physical, emotional and financial selves.

  • Physical wellbeing can be achieved by taking care of our bodies and control of our health. Emotional wellbeing is the ability to successfully manage stress, change and situations that are often out of our control.
  • Financial wellbeing is about feeling in control of our ability to meet current and future financial obligations while retaining some financial freedom.
The Hearst benefits and wellbeing programs bring these three pillars together and emphasize prevention and health maintenance, seeking support when you need it, taking action to ensure you create financial security and stability, and recognizing the diverse needs of employees.

To partner with you on your path to wellbeing, Hearst:
  • Provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to attract and retain talented employees.
  • Offers flexible options and choice for you to select the benefits that best meet your needs.
  • Provides a safety net of benefits protection against the financial impact of catastrophic life events.
  • Promotes opportunities to learn about the benefits, programs, resources and tools available to you so that you can make educated and informed choices.
  • Is dynamic, innovative, and flexible to meet the evolving needs of the company and our employees.
Hearst benefits. Where wellbeing begins

You receive dental/vision/medical coverage. 401K is available but the company does not match. Commuter benefits are pre-tax and a hassle to receive on time each month.

Standard Benefits with nothing really special. Pending on if your job is a union job or non-union makes a difference but not much to make a major difference.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Employee in San Francisco, California

The paper ended contributions to Guild employee pensions several years ago, so there's little incentive to stick around.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Employee in San Francisco, California

Bare minimum of taking care of their employees. Vacation package for employees within their first 5 years is not comparable to all the tech companies surrounding us. No wellness benefits, perks, and/or complimentary coffee.

Great employees with the exception of a few in management.
